Shot in the Streets: The Death of Archie Clements

Join us in downtown Lexington as we recreate the attempted capture and death of infamous guerilla and outlaw, Archie Clements. On December 13, 1866, Clements was ambushed by state militia at a hotel in Lexington, MO. The fight entered the streets as Clements attempted to escape. He suffered 34 bullet wounds and died attempting to fire his last gun.
