Quindaro Symposium - Strength Through Numbers

"Strength Through Numbers: The Intersection of Abolitionist Politics, Freed Blacks and a Flourishing Community at Quindaro" is a free event, open to the public. Dr. Quintard Taylor and the keynote address open the symposium on Thursday evening (at the Kansas City Public Library - Central Library, 14 W 10th St., 6-8 p.m.). Follow the link to find out more about the symposium, and to register. Friday and Saturday sessions will be held at Memorial Hall.
