    This nationally touring NEH on The Road exhibition examines visual culture and the struggle for racial equality in America (1940s to 1970s). Visitors explore compelling and persuasive images, including photographs from magazines like Life, Jet, and Ebony; CBS news footage; and clips from The Ed Sullivan Show. Also included are civil rights-era objects that exemplify the range of negative and positive imagery.     Freedom's Frontier Board of Trustees meets at Carnegie Building in Lawrence

    Members of the Freedom's Frontier Board of Trustees are opinion leaders from throughout the area. The role of this board is to provide governance to the organization and develop fundraising strategies to support its coordination, and represent the national heritage area to the public. The Board of Trustees meets six times a year. These meetings are open to the public and are posted on the Freedom's Frontier calendar.
