    This nationally touring NEH on The Road exhibition examines visual culture and the struggle for racial equality in America (1940s to 1970s). Visitors explore compelling and persuasive images, including photographs from magazines like Life, Jet, and Ebony; CBS news footage; and clips from The Ed Sullivan Show. Also included are civil rights-era objects that exemplify the range of negative and positive imagery.     The public is invited to bring their ideas to an informational meeting in the visitor's center. Representatives of the historic site will be on hand to gather input from interested citizens. Accomplishments and information on future plans for the facility will be discussed. Visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions about the site's services and operations.
