    The Eudora Community Museum brings a traveling exhibit highlighting how communities in Douglas County were populated. Douglas County's Heritage Coordinator, Jan Shupert-Arick, researched the project which was funded by FFNHA & the Kansas Humanities Council & supported by Douglas County. The exhibit will run October 6 - December 29, 2018 on the 2nd floor of the Eudora Community Museum located at 720 Main Street in Eudora, Kansas.     Dr. Diane Mutti-Burke is is Professor and chair of the History Department, and director of the Center for Midwestern Studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is dedicated to bringing the Civil War era history of this region to public and educator audiences.     Tonight our featured speaker is Richard Calvert, who has earned five purple hearts. Richard was a Special Forces combat medic in the 8th Medical Brigade who was assigned at various times to many different fighting groups in Vietnam. Richard jumped 54 times in Laos and Cambodia.
