Site Info

When visiting the Kansas Flint Hills or driving the Native Stone Scenic Byway, make the Wabaunsee County Historical Society Museum your first stop. You can study our interpretive displays which tell the stories of the history of the county. Our friendly staff can help guide you on a driving tour of the county’s historic sites that you might otherwise miss on the main roads.

The Wabaunsee County Historical Society Museum welcomes visitors to view displays containing over 10,000 artifacts from the history of the county and the Kansas Flint Hills. The museum is also home to a gallery, providing a venue for various traveling art and photo exhibitions. We provide extensive resources for genealogy researchers, including birth, marriage, death and cemetery records. The museum’s historic photograph collection offers researchers a visual link to the county’s past.
