Freedom's Frontier introduces expanded grant program

Freedom’s Frontier NHA is happy to introduce the organization’s newest grant program.
FFNHA Project Grants, formerly Interpretive Grants, award partner sites up to $3000 in match-free funds for projects connected to the heritage area’s rich history. With fewer project restrictions and hurdles, the grant’s scope has widened beyond interpretation to include programming, restoration, preservation, and archival management. Applications will be accepted in three cycles each calendar year. This year’s deadlines will be August 11 and October 1. Beginning in 2024, cycles are planned for February, July, and October.
Online applications have also been streamlined. Letters of support and other documentation can be uploaded directly to our website.
These changes, effective immediately, are the direct result of partner feedback and aim to increase transparency and simplify the entire partner-end experience.

Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) is a federally funded nonprofit organization and affiliate of the National Park Service dedicated to building awareness of the struggle for freedom along the Missouri-Kansas border.
