presents a program on "Grant's Overland Campaign, 1864

MAY 22, 2014 @ 7 PM

Don Bates will present “Grant’s Overland Campaign, 1864”, also known as “Lee’s Virginia Campaign of 1864”, at the Trailside Center, 9901 Holmes Rd. in Kansas City, MO, on Thursday, May 22, at 7 p.m.

This was the “first” campaign pitting the Civil War’s two greatest generals. It covers a 40 day period and the battles from the Wilderness to Cold Harbor. It will be of interest to fans of either the North or the South, addressing these iconic generals with anecdotes of their sub-ordinate officers and the men who fought these battles. Trailside's program recognizes the 150th anniversary of the campaign this year.

This program is free and open to the public. Extra parking is available in the SW shopping area of 99th St. and Holmes. For more information about the Trailside Center, visit www.trailsidecenter.org or www.newsantafe.org.
